Silver sellers around the world stamp silver with stamps bearing the numbers 925, 900, and 800. These numbers indicate the percentage of pure silver in the item. A 925 stamp means that the piece contains 92.5% silver, and a 900 or 800 stamp means that it contains 90% or 80% silver, respectively, and is usually called coin silver.
